Custom Walnut and Mahagany Pizza Peels

This pair of custom pizza peels were created as  Christmas presents for a client.  The handle and center is made out of hard walnut and the sides were made using mahogany

They measures in around 13 inches square with a 8 inch handle and were finished with a food grade mineral oil

Custom Large Three Person Walnut Cribbage Board

 This custom large cribbage board is being made out of walnut and measures in and 36 inches long and 8 inches wide.   The holes were drilled to use large 3/16 inch custom metal pegs.

 

 

Board  has been cut, routed, and drilled.

Custom Cribbage Board for Glacier Coffee House

 This  custom cribbage board was created for Glacier Coffee House to be used by their customers/friends/family while enjoying a great cup of coffee.

It was created out of walnut and is around 14 inches in diameter.

Custom Air Force Logo Shaped Cribbage Board

This cribbage board design was originally created for a client in 2009.  Now fast forward to present time and his wife is now doing one for her husband who is now retiring.
The special point is her husband is the person who originally ordered one for a coworker.  What a special gift for this retiree and I am proud to be part of it.

This board was created using hard maple as the shape and dark maple for the inlays
It measures in at 13 inches wide and 12 inches long.  In this design we did modify it a bit so the lasering could be done on the front.

The board on top was used to create a straight edge so the hanging hole could be cut.

Inlays are glued in and now on to the back and then sanding and finishing.

Cut and drilled using a CNC machine.

Custom Pizza Peels for Ardsley Pizza in Westchester NY

Custom pizza peel created using walnut for the handle and mahogany for the sides of peel.  The peel was 30 inches x 30 inches with a 16 inch handle.

The handle was lasered with SLYCE because this peel will only be used for making slices of pizza.

Custom Two Person round Cribbage Board with Trails End Logo

Custom two person cribbage board was created for a client as a Christmas gift for their daughter. The lasered logo was chosen as a tribute and a reminder of  their family heritage.

Dark walnut was used for this board and the circle measured in at 14 1/2 inches. It was finished with a hand rubbed polyurethane.

Custom 13 Inch Mahagany and Walnut Pizza Peel

This custom peel is being created for a client to give to her brother as a Christmas Gift.
It was created using walnut for the handle and mahogany for the sides and measured in with a 13 x 13 inch peel and was lasered engraved with her brothers business name.

Frisbee Shaped Cribbage Board

This custom cribbage board order came from the east coast. It will be a gift for someone who is a  ultimate frisbee player.  The two person track on this board starts on one edge and spirals into the center with the game hole.  It was an interesting and challenging board to create.

Created out of dark walnut this board measures in around 11+ inches.  This was turned on my lathe and was supposed to resemble a frisbee.

Custom Checker Board Game

This Custom Checker Board went to The Base Camp Cafe in Columbia Falls, Montana  a local cafe for use by their customers.  The board was made out of dark walnut and hard maple and measures in around 25  inches wide and 25 inches long.

Anyone interested can have one of these made out of pretty much any wood type you might choose.

Game pieces was cut out of a local tree and will be stamped and then painted Red or Black.

Trim boards have now been attached.

Now I will re-glue all the boards back together only in the reversed order below.  It will be done in several steps in order to ensure proper alignment of squares.

Rotate every other board and this is what the board will look like.

Next I cut 2 1/2 inch strips across the grain and reversed every other board to create the checker board pattern.

Reverse the board and cut crossways into 2 1/2 inch strips.

First the strips are glued up this way

Glue has been applied and clamps tightened.

And laid out on the clamps

Wood selected and planed.

I cut the boards (4 each kind) into 2 1/2 inches wide x 25 inches long and then ran them through the planer to get consistent size..
