This pair of custom pizza peels were created as  Christmas presents for a client.  The handle and center is made out of hard walnut and the sides were made using mahogany

They measures in around 13 inches square with a 8 inch handle and were finished with a food grade mineral oil

Custom Pizza Peels for Ardsley Pizza in Westchester NY

Custom pizza peel created using walnut for the handle and mahogany for the sides of peel.  The peel was 30 inches x 30 inches with a 16 inch handle.

The handle was lasered with SLYCE because this peel will only be used for making slices of pizza.

Custom 13 Inch Mahagany and Walnut Pizza Peel

This custom peel is being created for a client to give to her brother as a Christmas Gift.
It was created using walnut for the handle and mahogany for the sides and measured in with a 13 x 13 inch peel and was lasered engraved with her brothers business name.

Custom Walnut/Mahogany Pizza Peel Heading to Denmark.

This request came from a client in Randers, Denmark and will be a birthday present for a friend.  The beauty of these two woods go well together and the oil finish allows the grains of each wood to just jump out at you.
 The handle was made using dark Walnut and is 10 inches long. The letter  W  was lasered into the walnut.  The side pieces are created using Mahogany... The peel  portion measures in 15 1/2 inches wide and 16 inches long.

Lasering completed and now for the finish sanding and food grade oil coatings.

Custom Cribbage Board in Shape of Washington State Logo

This custom cribbage board is being created for a client as a present for a WSU PHD graduate.  It was cut in the shape of the Washington State Logo.   The client had to obtain permission for a one time use of this copywrited logo from the school.
 It is being created using Mahogany and will be tinted to try and match the school colors.

Custom Mahagany Pizza Peel

Hi Dave,   Attached is a picture of the first pies made using the peel you made. It worked perfectly with the wet dough. They slid off the peel like they were floating on air. Very good job. Marc

This custom peel will be used in a wood fired oven.  It has a 5 foot handle with a 14x12 inch paddle and is crafted using mahogany.  It was left unfinished at the clients request.

Custom Mahogany and Walnut Pizza Peel

This request came from North Carolina asking me to create a custom peel.  They chose the Walnut center with the Mahogany sides. Final dimensions were 16 inch square paddle with a nine inch handle. Included with a leather strap in the handle for hanging or displaying.

Their request also included the laser engraved letter C in the center of the paddle.


This combination of woods goes together nicely and creates a very nice end product.

Custom Walnut - Mahagany pizza peels

Here one is in glueup

I was contacted by a client who is working in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.  He wanted a couple custom pizza peels to use with his portable pizza oven.
 He chose to make out of  Walnut/Mahogany, with  one being 12.5" wide and the other one 14.5" wide each with additional 2 feet for the handle.

Wood selection was made and the process begins.

The clamps are now off and the scraping, shaping, & sanding  begins.  

These two woods should go well together and when oiled will look very nice.  Sometimes you don't know until that first coat of food grade mineral oil is applied.

 
Here is the finished products.  They really came out nice, he will have a hard time using these to cook on.

More Cribbage boards/ Cutting Boards/Pizza Peels in progress.................

Custom Edge-grain Cutting Board

Maple/ Hickory strip cutting board or commonly called an "edge-grain cutting board."
This board was created by ripping pieces of 5/4 maple and hickory into strips and then flipping the strips, then gluing the face to face surfaces of the original boards. This gives a much more stable level end product, not to mention a nice attractive cutting board.






This Custom four person cribbage board was created out of hard maple. It was further personalized by lasering a clients business name on the front surface.




On the back it was also personalized by lasering the new owners name and the year.

The silver strip on back is a routed dovetailed slide to hold the cribbage pegs.







This mahogany Pizza Peel was created for a client who was building a new home with a nice wood fired pizza oven.
It has a 12 inch paddle and a 9 inch handle. I laminated a separate piece of mahogany onto the handle and 1/2 ways down the peel to provide additional support.
