More Cribbage boards/ Cutting Boards/Pizza Peels in progress.................

Custom Edge-grain Cutting Board
Maple/ Hickory strip cutting board or commonly called an "edge-grain cutting board."
This board was created by ripping pieces of 5/4 maple and hickory into strips and then flipping the strips, then gluing the face to face surfaces of the original boards. This gives a much more stable level end product, not to mention a nice attractive cutting board.

This Custom four person cribbage board was created out of hard maple. It was further personalized by lasering a clients business name on the front surface.

On the back it was also personalized by lasering the new owners name and the year.

The silver strip on back is a routed dovetailed slide to hold the cribbage pegs.

This mahogany Pizza Peel was created for a client who was building a new home with a nice wood fired pizza oven.
It has a 12 inch paddle and a 9 inch handle. I laminated a separate piece of mahogany onto the handle and 1/2 ways down the peel to provide additional support.

Custom Cribbage Boards for Deschutes Brewery....UPDATE 05/14/09

These boards were shipped and received....next.......

The holes have been drilled on all the boards and now the process begins for the back slot to hold the pegs.

This photo shows the slot in the back of the board where the pegs will be stored.

All the slots have been routed out and now each aluminum slide has to be created to match the slot.

This photo shows the metal strip shaped and placed in the dovetailed slot.

Each board will then get a burned image of my business stamp.

Once these steps are completed for each board, it will get a final sanding and a final coat of poly.

Montana Coffee Traders Countertops

The sanding and routing of the edges on these boards has been completed and the first two coats of poly has been applied.

They actually will soon become counter tops in the Columbia Falls Montana Coffee Traders Pines Cafe .

Once this coat drys, we will apply at least one more coat to provide a nice waterproof surface, then they will be ready for installation.
Many thanks to my sanding and coating elf for her assistance, so I could continue on the drilling of the cribbage boards for Deschutes Brewery.

They are being created to give more space for Internet WIFI users and all other customers. These counter tops were designed to be installed in one corner and are 6 feet and 5 feet long x 14 inches wide.

This pile of clamps and wood is actually what will become counter tops in the Columbia Falls Montana Coffee Traders Pine Cafe.

Wood being used is local Fir/Larch obtained from RBM Lumber. RBM is a local wood milling operation here in Columbia Falls, Montana.
