Large Custom Cherry Four Person Cribbage Board

This large four person Custom Cribbage Board was made out of Cherry and created for a client in Minnesota to give as a birthday gift.

The board is around 28 inches long and 12 inches wide. It is a four person board and has a slot on the back to hold the custom metal pegs when not in play.

CorelDraw was used to design and lay this drawing out.  This program gives me great freedom to basically create any board design I want to create or re-create.

Finished and ready for many games

Extra large custom metal pegs and deck of Jumbo cards go with this board.

Once it was formatted a ShopBot CNC router was used  to drill the holes, router the guidelines and do the lettering on the board.  The border trace lines will be cut to create the actual board size.

Once that is done then the edging and the slot on the back for pegs will be done with a basic router.

Slot cut on back for storage.

Finally, the sanding process will begin.
Then the hand rubbed polyurethane finish will be applied once the final sanding has been completed.

Holes drilled and outline cut.

This board is different and actually is something I have heard a lot of comments about at shows,  markets and from web inquiries.  Folks have trouble following their track around the board. This design will have engraved lines between each track and with the groups of five also separated.

In addition, there are triple S's be placed between holes 30 and 35 for triple skunk, double S's be placed between holes 60 and 65 for double skunk, and one S be placed between 90 and 95 for a standard skunk.
" Start" has been added after the home start pegholes and "YAHOO" at the pegout hole.

Rough piece of Cherry which this board will be created out of.

Layout created using CoralDraw
