As a U.S. Navy Veteran, this project is one which I am very proud to have been part of.It holds a folded 5 foot x 9 foot American flag and is made out of popular with a poly glass front and a fiberboard backing. It is designed to be displayed on a mantle, table top or hung on a wall. It measures 4 1/2 inches deep and is 26 inches per side and is protected by a hand rubbed semi gloss poly finish.
This box was created for a client who will give it as a gift to display the flag received as a remembrance of a brave service person who served in Iraq.
It can be made out of any type of wood. If desired a base can be added and a brass nameplate, as well as a decorative routed edge.
